You may experience drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, weight gain, or difficulty urinating. Should any of these symptoms persist or worsen, promptly inform your doctor or pharmacist.

To mitigate the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, take care to rise slowly from a seated or reclined position.

For relief from dry mouth, consider sucking on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chewing (sugarless) gum, drinking water, or utilizing a saliva substitute.

To prevent constipation, ensure adequate intake of dietary fiber, water, and engage in regular exercise. Your pharmacist can advise on suitable laxative options if necessary.

Bear in mind that this medication has been prescribed because your doctor has determined that its benefits outweigh the potential side effects. Many individuals using this medication do not experience serious adverse effects.

Promptly inform your doctor if you encounter any serious side effects, such as persistent heartburn, easy bruising or bleeding, tremors, rigid facial expressions, muscle spasms, severe abdominal pain, diminished sexual function, or breast enlargement/pain.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe adverse effects like black stools, vomiting resembling coffee grounds, profound dizziness, loss of consciousness, seizures, eye discomfort/swelling/redness, dilated pupils, or vision alterations (such as seeing halos around lights in the dark).

In rare instances, this medication may induce a severe condition known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS). Seek urgent medical assistance if you develop symptoms such as fever, muscle rigidity, severe confusion, excessive sweating, or rapid/irregular heartbeat.

Although highly uncommon, a severe allergic reaction to this medication may occur. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as rash, swelling/itching (particularly of the face/tongue/throat), significant dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
